Visit of Landrat Claus Schick and his personal assistant for economy Mrs Angela Schneider-Braun on the 1st of December

After CEO Dr. Joachim Korbach welcomed the visitors, they got a short introduction current activities of QVF and her history of 50 years in the glass business. The QVF training program for apprentices was Mr. Sclick’s main interest. In the training workshop he could proof his ability of glass-blowing himself, leaded by Mrs Scholles, the head of the training program.

Currently 5 apprentices apply for a grade in glass-apparatus-manufacturing. They learn to produce glass equipment for research and development for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, but also other glass items. They are sometimes first of it’s kind but also produced in batches. For glass-apparatus-manufacturer it is essential to have good manual skills.

Beneath glass-apparatus-manufacturer QVF also offers training programs in the commercial departments.

Landrat Schick and his assistant finaly visited the QVF production with it’s big machines and very skilled staff.
