QVF Suction Filters

Chemical and pharmaceutical ingredients are frequently processed further as powder so that precipitation, concentration and solid/liquid separation is necessary after the reaction phase. DDPS offers high-grade filter dryers for technical applications, and for deployment at KiloLabs a ROLAB, a filter dryer fit for manual operations. Our competency is based on those of the DDPS subsidiary ROSENMUND, a leading supplier of filters/dryers.

In close cooperation, QVF has developed suction filters made of borosilicate glass for KiloLab deployment. In the course, special customer demands and process requirements were realised.

Suction Filter including a Heating Jacket

For this version, the filter plate can be lowered and swivelled in order to be able to remove the product. The stirring device is mechanically lowered and elevated, and is driven by an air pressure motor. The suction filter was installed into an existing unit (the illustration displays the transport frame).

The product only gets in contact with PTFE and borosilicate glass. The filter plate and the filtering cloth, can be lowered to enable filtering cloth exchange. The product can be removed by the comfortable quick-openings.

Suction Filter for Light-Sensitive Products

The filtering vessel is equipped with a brown-color jacket for protection of the light-sensitive product, which also serves for maintain temperature of the filtering volume. The cover is lifted by using an elevating jig, and can be swivelled to the side. The product only gets in contact with PTFE and borosilicate glass. PTFE spray nozzles are provided for cleaning.

Suction Filter for ATEX Areas

Top

This unit is planned for deployment in ex-zones containing non conductive products, and is fully corrosion-resistant. The accumulation of charges does not occur due to the use of dissipative PTFE and dissipative glass coating as patented by QVF. The filter dryer can easily be dis-assembled for GMP-friendly cleaning due to the use of quick opening screws. The dissipative PTFE is FDA approved.

Suction Filter with lifting Device

This type is designed in the same way as the filter for ATEX Zones, but consists a lifting device for the cover which allows to swivel the cover for discharging the filter. The product hoses can be attached by quick-release couplings. The version DN450 (picture right below) and DN600 (picture left below) are designed in the same way. The picture on the right shows the liftable stirrer and the CE-marked glass body.
